RECORD-BREAKING YEAR FOR WOMEN ON THE FORBES LIST OF THE WORLD BILLIONAIRES!

Out of 1,645 billionaires this year on the Forbes World Billionaire list, a record 172 are women, up from 138 last year!

To an female CEO like myself, hearing this makes me proud. Still in todays age women are not equally paid as men and to be honest, women are more qualified in a lot of positions men hold. Some might think out of the 1,645 added to Forbes 2014 Billionaires list, only 172 are women is a small percentage. But if you look at the number of billionaire women last year (138) on the Forbes list, it indeed is a percentage to celebrate. This year's billionaire list also has 9 Black billionaire, up from 7 last year.
So had to start with the richest African-American person in the world!

Oprah Winfrey

Oprah Winfrey still holds her title as the richest African-American person in the world. Her cable channel, OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) is a cash flow positive for the first time and is enjoying favorable ratings as a result of securing exclusive TV interviews with headline-grabbers. Oprah continues to give to education causes and has spent $100 million on the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa.

OK!
So you probably like, were are the women who worked their ass off to be on this list right? Out of the 42 women added this year only 5 of them built their own fortunes as opposed to inheriting them. These five women include:
