COREY CA$H

What is the meaning of your name?

Corey: "CA$H was a name given to me as a YG (young gangster) in the slums of Torontos west end i seen the older heads making money and it was all I could talk about and think about so it stuck with me and so the name CA$H came; sandalwood east is an area in Brampton Ontario Canada where a group of youth I grew up with did dirt with got charged with and run with till this day felt we had a lot of talent between our members we could make something out of nothing to put on for our city so we got together and said lets do this and that was that."

When did you know you wanted to pursue a music career?

Corey: "I always loved music from a young age use to listen to rap battles and interviews of artist such as jayz, talib kwali, Dmx, the lox and so on and so forth it amazed me to see how smart they really were and to see the mind of the music is more then the brand they showed."

What Is your Inspiration?

Corey: "my inspiration was seeing various artists in Toronto when I was young at echo feast; mark echo the fashion designer brought artists like Kanye west, ludacris, lil john and the east side boys lil scrappy and so much more to name watching them perform was amazing to me the energy they brought to the stage had me rapping every word as they went on the personality they showed through their actions and stage presence made me want to make music so I could perform and rock crowds the way they did ."

What do you want people to take from your music?

Corey: "I want people to understand music is an art form decade by generations of one hit wonders and people who don't write their own music which I'm trying to stay far away from and bring back real rap hip hop and Rnb from the 90s into 2014 and so on."

What are you working on now?

Corey: "m working on my Ep it has no title at the moment but I'm working with the best producer in my city Michael beats or Coppachoppa it'll be a brand of hip hop, grudge rock and trap a must listen ; my mixtape I just finished called FTL(for the ladies is a smooth listening tape dedicated to all the beautiful females out there that love the night life and are down to earth and understand life is more about the journey then the destination."

Do you have anything in the near future we should look out for?

Corey: "yes mos def look out for my music mixtape singles and my videos to drop for FTL I'll be wearing that fly dope fresh gear brought to you by Calired xclusive  it'll be a must see."
