Emmett Till - Killed for flirting with a white girl
Trayvon Martin- Killed for his attire.
Jordan Davis- Killed along with two other friends for playing loud rap music in a car. (10 rounds fired into car)
Renisha McBride- Shot in the face & killed for knocking on someones door for help.
Ricardo Sanes- Accused of braking into someones house but was chased down and killed. (6 rounds fired)
They all lived completely different lives but the common denominator in these young lives are they were killed, because their killers felt threaten with no real reason then the color of their skin and the way they were dressed.
To me, growing up in a diverse city as San Francisco, California racism wasn't in my face. I've always had friends from different races. But as an adult, racism became clear as day. To hear these young lives got cut short, because of the color of their skin is heartbraking. One of them could have been the one to cure cancer or be the next black president. Justice will never be served, because the America Justice system is not meant for minorities. Some people are still blinded to the fact the jail system is a BILLION dollar business.
There are countless stories of the same crime but different sentencings, in my opinion, because of the color of their skin. Like Marissa Alexander, who shot a "worrying shot" at her abusive husband (no one got struck) who also was claiming Florida's "Stand Your Ground" law. Which is the same law Tayvon Martin's "killer" George Zimmerman claimed. But she is serving 20 years for it, HUH! But yet these teens are killed but their shooters serve little to no time. My generation has a bigger voice then we think. Black, white, latino,mixed it doesnt matter. If we dont stand for something, we will fall for anything. How long will we let history repeat it's self.

There is another one from Texas he went missing,and they found him a few weeks later with drugs in his system,his wife side he has never done drugs a day in his life the family requested and independent autopsy and the medical examiner said he died as a result of homicide,he had puncture wounds on one side of his body and his tongue had been removed they found him on a ranch,the same ranch that was searched weeks before,he had been placed there so they could find him,he was wearing boxer shorts and tennis shoes all items of clothing were clean and his watch and other items were placed beside him,he knew the sheriffs daughter and the deputy was her exc boyfriend who she left ,don't know if they had a relationship but they knew each other because they work in the same field he was a physical therapist he had three kids,it is the near jasper Texas where James Byrd was killed,it just sad that instead of going forward we are going backwards it has to stop and stop now,I will reply again with the name
